L&D Specialist and/or Consultant

Specialist: We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who are passionate about learning. A tech-savvy educational enthusiast ready to take on the challenge and wear multiple hats, playing the role of facilitator, innovator, researcher, and developer.

Consultant: adding on to the above, we are seeking a professional instructional designer to design and develop out learning and practicing programs. Your job will be to assist in the daily workload of the Learning & Development department, contributing to the initial purpose of ideas group “To make a positive change in the lives of people around us” driven by our guiding principle of Upgrading Performance.

L&D Specialist – Duties and Responsibilities

Material Design:

  • Quality assurance on existing and new instructional material
  • Research engaging learning activities and compelling course content
  • Research exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
  • Assist in L&D initiatives in response to changing needs.
  • Promoting available training opportunities to employees as well as driving a learning culture.
  • Supervise Material Delivery for Facilitators

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (concentration in Humanities, Social Sciences or Psychology, Organizational Development is an advantage) – Professional experience is a plus – Visual design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) – Ability to write effective instructional text, audio, and video scripts.

Data Analysis:

  • Work with the L&D consultant to identify the target audience’s training needs
  • Analyze existing instructional material
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Assess learning needs
  • Assessments and logistics
  • Research data to identify trends and issues that are important to the organization

Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Consultancy:

  • Technical support for facilitators
  • Attend internal Business Development meeting
  • Writing Proposals
  • Quality Assurance on proposal writing and design
  • Representing ig in selected initiatives such as CSR events, trade fairs, exhibitions, forums and others upon request.

Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic (fluent) French (secondary)

L&D Consultant – Duties and Responsibilities

Material Design:

  • Analyze existing instructional material
  • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Create Outlines
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Designing and developing L&D initiatives in response to changing needs.
  • Providing L&D advice to individuals, teams and programs.
  • Promoting available training opportunities to employees as well as driving a learning culture.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure quality output of solutions and activities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (required) and professional experience (min 3 years of experience) – A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Organizational Development or related field and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications. – Visual design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) – Ability to write effective instructional text, audio and video scripts – Lesson and curriculum planning skills.

Data Analysis:

  • Optimizing the internal functions within the ig L&D department.
  • Taking ownership of the essential administrative functions of the L&D department.
  • Assess learning needs
  • Analyze participants’ feedback and conduct quarterly Learning & Development reports
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs
  • Analyze existing instructional material
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Assessments and logistics
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand standard financial realities and reporting, including budgeting, profit & loss, cost benefit analysis and forecasting / projections.
  • Analyses data to identify trends and issues that are important to the organization and interprets the results to make recommendations for how the organization should address the issues.
